City Crafter Challenge # 63

Hello everyone,

To all of you who are living in the USA; happy 4th of July!
A new week and I hope that we will find out what's going on with my FIL. He is very sick and all I can say that there we're very worried about his health.
I'll keep you posted...

We had a quiet weekend at home and I also had some time to create a card. The last week I prefer neutrals and soft colors (cream, white, pastels) and I also wanted to use these colors for this weeks'challenge at the City Crafter Challenge of this week.
This week it's all about this sketch:

(I flipped the sketch)
Some buttons from my stash and an image that Heather sent me:

A little tag from June and papers from the Girls Paperie:

I used one of my MS border punches and added some trim from Maya Road.
I thought about using my sewing machine but I decied not to...The patterned papers and the sketch brought enough dept and texture to this card. Well; that's my opinion :)
I inked the edges with Antique Linen but it turned out a bit darker a splanned so after that I inked the edges again with Egg Shell from Color Box.
Here is my card:

Hope you all are ok; have a great Monday!
Till soon,
Stella

So lovely, Stella. I really love the pansys, another of my favorite flowers. My mother used to put them on top of my dad's birthday cake. We all love what she did to put real flowers on top!

What a pretty pansy image, and I like those papers you used behind it. I think I recognize them from another recent card, and you've given them a whole different look here by sponging on some ink. I'm so sorry to hear your FIL is not doing well. I am worried for him, too. Please keep us posted. {{hugs}}

Dear Stella,

Wow, your cards are gorgeous! I love writing (and receiving) handwritten cards (I wrote a post on the art of writing cards/letters on my own blog, it's called 'The Power of the Handwritten Word' and can be found under the { S P I R I T } tab). OK, sorry for that shameless plug, but I thought you might possibly be interested :)

How long does it take you to make a card? And on what occasions do you use them? They are really very lovely!

Blessings,
This Good Life

{ T G L } zei

P.S. And of course, best wishes for your FIL. May he make a speedy recovery soon, or if not, may you all be given a measure of grace and acceptance to bear what may come.

Blessings,
This Good Life
