CCCB "My Cuppa" # 32

Hello everyone,
How are you?For all of you who celebrated Thanksgiving: did you all have a good time?
It's Friday and almost weekend! And when I woke up this morning and looked out of the window I saw this in my backyard:

Yes....snow. A bit early for Holland and I must say it's cold.........
It's definitely time for warm clothes and drinks and being at home. Inside it's cozy and time for some blogging...
I'm sitting here at my computer with a fresh cup of coffee. Which leads me to the challenge of the City Crafter Challenge Blog. This week it's all about  to create a card/project/layout, that includes an image of a coffee mug, tea cups, or any project that is related to coffee, tea, cocoa and hot chocolate. Here is the inspiration picture:

I used an image of The Graphics Fairy and added a butteffly cut from an old book page with a small pearl on top of it.

I sprayed some white ribbon with Glimmer Mist ( Old Lace) and added a charm I found at the craft store. It fits p…

Card Patterns # 91

Hello everyone,
Monday again .....did you all have a great weekend? I already made my choice for the appetizers for my Christmas dinner but still looking for the main course. I'll post the menu when everything is chosen.
Outside it's cold but inside it's warm and cozy. I just grabbed a fresh cup of coffee and now it's time for some blogging; and a new challenge!
This is the sketch for this weeks challenge at Card Patterns:

I made a card for a very good friend who is going through a difficult time.
I used papers in different shades of blue and green. ( Melissa Frances en Marianne Design).  Ros sent me that gorgeous blue lace. The flowers are from Prima and Mulberry and the pin is handmade by me (hee hee)The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse stamps (Fancy Phrases)I also used a border punch from Martha Stewart

I also added made a few stitches and that went wrong at the left side; my card slipped away a bit...
Hers is my card:

Hope you like it....
Enjoy your day!Stella

The papers are from Basic Grey and Making MemoriesRos sent me the cute corner piece along with other lovely ornaments, frames etc. Thank you so much Ros...

CCCB "Thank you" #30

Helloeveryone! It's Friday and that means weekend ( yes I started already ...)Here in Holland we have a day with a stormy wind, sometimes loads of rain and it's cold!I decided to stay inside and get my groceries tomorrow :)
Time for a challenge! One of my favorite weekly challenges is at the City Crafter Challenge blogThis week it's all about being thankful.

Well I can say that I am thankful for a lot of things. I could write a few pages but I'll stick with one thing; blogging.
I could never  have imagined ( is this english? ) that this tiny little blog would bring me so much happiness and fun!
I am so thankful for:
 Everyone I met
All the inspiration
Sweet, lovely, heartfelt and encouraging words in so many comments and emails
Moments of laughter and sometimes brought to tears ( yes a few of you touched my heart several times...)
Gorgeous people with so many skills and talents; I am so thankful that you all are willing to share your gorgeous creations.
And of course CCCB; I want…

Mona Pendleton / CR84FN2

Hello everyone, It's Thursday and almost weekend :)
Time for the second challenge at Mona Pendletons' blog
I used a doily and inked it with a Tan inkpad. That inkpad has exactly the same color as the Tan in the photo inspiration but turned out much lighter on my white doily :) I inked the butterfly and glittered it; I hope you can see it...

And what would a card be without a bow in a matching color?

And here is my card.

Cardstock from my stash. doily from Sonia, embossed butterfly from Tattered Angels, scrunched seam binding from Memrie Mare. The gingham brad and lace are from my stash. Sentiment stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps (Victorian Frippery), flourish stamp from Marianne Design. Both stamped with London Fpg from Tsukineko.
Have a wonderful day!

Pixie Dust Paperie 1st challenge

Hello everyone,.It's Wednesday already! Yesterday I had plenty of time and I spend quite some time crafting. This is my first post; I'll post the second one soon after this one...
Time for a brand new challenge on a new blog!!

Kirsty Vittetoe started a great new blog;
Pixie Dust Paperie

Their first challenge is going on; you can still join the fun!
You can pick out a creation from the DT from their October post, scrap-lift, and give it a new look with your own idea.  You can find all the details HERE
I picked the baby boy card from KirstyThis is her card:

I created a baby girl card. At the moment the challenge started I knew that friends of us were expecting a baby girl.... That's the reason for changing the baby card into a girl card.
Kirsty added a crown; so did I:

She added 3 pieces of paper and a tag on top of it. I  combined these 2 parts. The centerpiece is a diecut with a tag on it. And I have a stamp instead of a circle
The lace bow became a doily; the button on top of it …
