Belated birthday wishes....

Hello!

How are you? Ready for the upcoming weekend? I know I am...
We are still having wonderful spring weather. We started today with some clouds but the sun is coming through again. Temperatures are back to normal for springtime but I am not complaining :)

What are your plans for this weekend? I start tomorrow with watching the royal wedding in the UK.
It's also broadcasted here in Holland; I'll be sitting on the couch all day and watch it from start till finish!
Tomorrow evening we're having an anniversary dinner for the 50th wedding anniversary of my
parents-in-law.

Saturday is a special day here in Holland. It's the day to celebrate the Queens' birthday. There are a lot of events and one of the traditions is that there are markets all over the country. Everyone can have their surplus stuff to sell in this market. You can find these markets in each city and neighborhood. Fun to visit!

Over to a challenge :)
I made a card with belated birthday wishes for a friend. A few weeks ago I subscribed to Birthday Reminder; they sent you an email  a week before someone in having his or her birthday.  But I forgot to submit the right settings. Meanwhile I now have done so but unfortunately I missed a few birthdays....

My card is based upon this weeks' sketch at the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge:

[44-Sketch3.jpg]

Some pink gingham ribbon, a handmade pin, a button and a piece of paper left over from another card.

I used my favorite victorian embossing folder to emboss a piece of Color Core paper
and after that I sanded it. I also added a few Mulberry roses

The sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases set ; stamped with Memento Rose Bud.
The label is from the Vintage labels 4 set; stamped with Aqua ink  from Color Box. After cutting it with the matching SB die I distressed the edges of the label with Antique Linen.
I've rubbed the edges of the card with a white inkpad and used one of my corner punches. Here is my card:

Enjoy your day; till soon!
Stella

Liefs, Ira x

So pretty, Stella! I think blue is definitely one of your best colors. You use it a lot, and it's the color of your blog background. I love those little roses on the card.

I am so sad I missed the weeding. I was totally bummed when our power went out. I will have to see if I can pull it up online. It just wont be the same. I missed a lot in a week. :)
