How are you?
Before I start digging in my garden :) I have to submit my card for this weeks'challenge and first anniversary of the City Crafter Chalenge Blog.
First of all congratulations to Kirsty, Ros, Cheryl and Linda!
Thank you so much for starting this wonderful challenge. I discovered this blog when they were already at challenge #11 and I can honestly say I only missed a few. (I think 2; due to being sick or no mojo at all :)...)
It's always fun to play along and I learned a lot during this last year. Thank you ladies for all the fun, inspiration, beauty and encouraging words. But most of all I am thankful for the friends I made through this blog!
Thank you ladies; for being there..........and...congratulations!
I also want to thank the DT for making me a spotlight artist again; I am very proud and happy.Thank you ladies!
And now it's time for my card!
This week the challenge is about casing this card from their Guest Designer Sylvia Nelson:
I decided to case the embossed background and the shape and added a bit of me :)
I made a rectangle card and added a cupcake instead of a cake.
Cardboard from my stash, Papers from Tilda and Eline's Huis. The rose is from Mulberry.
The sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases set, stamped with Rosebud from Memento. I inked the edges of my Spellbinders labels 4 with Rosebud from Color Box. Funny; they have the same name but two different shades of pink :). Polka dot ribbon from my stash and I found that gem at Zeeman ( sort of discounter here in Holland). I cut out a lace border with a die from Marianne Design and added a small border made with my EK scalopped border punch. And again; my favorite Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder.
Behind the cupcake is a die cut made from cardboard. I used my Spellbinders labels one die and inked the edges with Rosebud from Color Box.
Here is my card:
I have some plants to plant in my garden, weeding and trying to get rid of an awful amount of calories from my apple-cinnamon cake from yesterday.
Have a wonderful day; till soon!
