CCCB # 62

Hello everyone!
How are you? Are you all enjoying summer? Here in Holland it really is a bit too hot :)
Although we had no plans for the went by before we knew it.
I am a little late for submitting my card for this weeks' challenge at the City Crafter Challenge blog This week the challenge is about to use the number ONE or the word "first" on your card or project.
It ook me a few days and Saturday evening I got the idea :) The idea came with the quotes I added to one of my boards at Pinterest. (I will post about that soon) You can find the original quote HERE.
I just had to use this quote. I changed the font and color and used it on my card. But besides the sentiment I wanted to make a card with white and a few soft/vintage colors and used the papers from the Girls Paperie. Here is a peek of the papers and a  doily that I got from my sister Jacqueline.

I also knew I wanted to add a little splash of bright colors. The brad (yes I also went out of my comfort zone; this…

How are you? Enjoying your weekend? It's weekend and that also means more time for crafting :) Yesterday we celebrated Michiels' birthday; it was a small birthday party. There will be a big party once he is fully recovered from the surgery. I also spent time making jam ( strawberry/rhubarb with a little bit of cinnamon and vanilla; d-el--i-c-i-o-u-s!!) And this weekend I am also making strawberry jam :)

It has been raining on and off today and after my grocery shopping and the never ending story of the  laundry I made an ATC. Yep; the first one! And I must admit; making these cuties is addicitive. My head is spinning with ideas and I will make more of these.
But first I want to thank the DT of the City Crafter Challenge Blog for making me a spotlight artist again; thank you so so much ladies. I am so honored!
The idea of making an ATC is because of this weeks'challenge at the City Crafter Challenge blog  Since these Artist Trading Cards are for exchange only you can submit you…

City Crafter Challenge # 60 and CR84FN 31

How are you? I am just in time to submit my project for this weeks' challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog This week it's all about dressing up a jar.
I  also play along in this weeks'challenge at CR84FN;
based upon these gorgeous colors:

I decided to pretty up a jar that is already filled with tags. These tags were sent to me by June; while we were paired up as swap partners.
Shall we take a look? :)
Cherry blossoms, roses and pearls.I cut a small piece of a string of pearls and placing them (neat) on top has been a real challenge in patience....  You can also see a small piece of the circle and scalloped circle:

A polka dotted bow, striped ribbon in fresh green,  a piece of embroidered ribbon  and a rose:

I cut a doily in half and glued it on my jar and added a punched out doily. That cute heart pearl is a gift from Pauline. I wrote the sentiment; I don't have a "tags" stamp :) I glued a a piece of gingham ribbon with roses on the border of my doily. Here …

Meet the family..........!!!

Yes; that's right. This is my second post for today. Almost a year ago I started blogging ( there is a blogaversary coming up :).....)
It's about time that I share some pictures of my husband and sons. Last week we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversay. A small party; with close family and friends. Dresscode; casual please....what matters most for us was the fact that we could share this special day with people that mean the world to us and it's not about a black tie or a smoking :)
Here we go!

Michiel (our eldest son) and his girlfriend Elisa ( Still a bit pale; a week after he came home from the hospital......)

Marcel ( my husband) and Michiel

Our youngest son Martijn:

Marcel and me and our sons

The whole family :)

All our guests were singing a song for us; the song was composed by one of my sisters We laughed a lot :)

A short haircut for me  ( I still think it's too short...)

Life with Marcel is still wonderful :)

I laughed a LOT:

A piece of the back yard; the rose in the front will bloom in a few days....

Another peek in the back yard:

Blue geranium.....

Another part of the backyard:

. I think that the garden is at its prettiest in June.  And I hope you liked this little impression of my garden!
Till soon! Stella

A card for Valérie and Richard

I told you; three posts today :)
I made a card for Valérie and Richard. Valérie is the daughter of one of our best friends. Today they are celebrating their registered partnership.  Legally it is the same as getting married, you have the same rights and obligations. I made a card for them. I used papers and stickers from Melissa Frances 5 th Avenue, a heart-shaped pearl from Pauline, sentiment stamps from Waltzingmouse stamps (Fancy Phrases), flowers and trim from my stash.

Doilies and romance; a perfect match...

Some flowers and pearls:

This the front of the card. A few weeks ago I made my first "gate-card" for a challenge at the City Crafters Challenge Blog and I love them.

I never get tired of these papers and stamps :)

Pauline; these pearls are amazing!!! I added their initials:

A little banner on the right; I included a personal note on the back of the card; These papers are gorgeous and I didn't want to write on it :)

Well; enough for today. Time for some blog-hopping…

25th wedding anniversay part 1; flowers and a handmade quilt

Hi! This is my second post for today!
Last Saturday we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. one of our friends made a lot of photos (hundreds) and he is busy sorting them. As soon as we get them I'll post some on my blog. We received the most beautiful flowers and one of my sisters made a gorgeous quilt.

Michiel and his girlfriend Elisa gave us these beauties:

Friends of us gave us this:

And another friend gave us this ( it almost looks like a bridal bouqet :)

Peonies; one of my very favorites.....

One of my sisters gave us a few presents and one of these was this cutie to put on my garden table....

And another friend gave us this basket filled with white flowers. She said: `Sweetie just look at it, drink your espresso and enjoy!!!`

One of my sisters made a quilt especially for our silver wedding anniversary. It´s handmade...  no machine stitching. On top she added 25 hearts  and a set of wedding rings; sewed by hand. This is a close up of the back of the quilt; you can see the wedding …
