CCCB # 41 "Sew Fun"

Good morning!
A new week and there is no better way to start this Monday with a card for one of my favorite challenge blogs. This week on the City Crafter Challenge Blog it's all about sewing...Stitching on your cards or projects or adding sewing embellishments or images. I 've been looking for some sewing embellishments but the ones I would love to add were sold out and I don't have any sewing stamps. They're on my wishlist :) I decided to make a card and add a pin ( you could say a needle :) and a button. Just one and yes; I know that's not too much.... I also added some stitching.Last Saturday I went to the craftstore ( seems like a weekly routine but I ran out of white cardstock and that's reason enough to go:) !!)Being there I grabbed different kinds of lace which just arrived. You'll find one of these on my card.
Here is my pin/needle; it's handmade:

All papers are from Melissa Frances ( Vintage Posey). I slightly covered an embossed chipboard frame …

TSTR # 46 "Winter wonderland"

Hello everyone,
How are you? Sunday and already the last day of the weekend. It's a lovely day here. Freezing cold but the sun is shining and this is the third day in a row with blue skies. I am looking forward to spring; the garden looks horrible. Everything is bold and brown :)
Over to the challenge but  first I want to thank the ladies of the DT for my honorable mention last week; I am so honored!Just take a look at this gorgeous picture:

I knew immediately what kind of card I wanted to create. Yes; right up my alley with white, off white and blue :)
Here's a close up of a few embellishments.....( My apologies but again; a bit of a blurry picture. The next one is better ...)

I used a few of my favorites: a doily, felt, a brad made with pearls and rhinestones, gingham ribbon, pom pom trim and of course my favorite stamps from Waltzingmouse stamps ( Victorian Frippery; my best buy of 2010 :)!!) I stamped the Victorian border with Versamark  and heat-embossed it with white embossi…

CCCB "Flower Show at Jersey City" and Tuesday Trigger " I'm so pretty"

Hello everyone!
How are you? Already Thursday and time flies. The past few days were filled with work, visits, chores and I managed to squeeze in some time to make a card...
This card is based upon two challenges; City Crafter Challenge Blog and Moxie Fab World. Both challenges ae having a gorgeous picture in case you need some inspiration :)

This one is from the City Crafter Challenge Blog:
.

And this one from Moxie Fab World:

This weeks'challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog  is based upon using (a) handmade flower(s)
The picture of this weeks "Tuesday Trigger" made me think of one of my favorite stamps from Darkroom Door. It's a rose stamp and there is a certain resemblance with that pillow. ( I want that pillow :)!!!)Of course I added a handmade flower and besides that my card doesn't have any embellishments. That's not my habit; I love to add all kinds of things but this card didn't need more...
I used Kraft and Vanilla cardstock from Bazzil, Spellbind…

CCCB # 38 "Winter white"

Hello everyone,
Did you all have a wonderful weekend? Just as busy like me? :)Saturday was lovely; we had friends for dinner and I went to bed at 2.15 AM..... Time flies when you're having good company and before we knew it was after midnight .......Yesterday we started sorting out all kinds of things that were still standing in the bedroom of our youngest son. He moved out last August and before we knew that room become a sort of storage place for all those things that we still needed to look at. ( To be honest; it's a mess...). Not finished yet but in the upcoming weeks we are going to paint and redecorate it as a guestroom and.....my craftroom hee hee!! Yesterday evening we went to a friend; celebrating her birthday.
And now it's Monday and time is running short for this weeks' challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is to create a project using all white with only one other color as an accent.
Here is the photo inspiration:
