Start of 2013

and feeling a bit ashamed since it has been 2 months since I logged in on my Blogger account.
A lot has happened; good things; happiness, wonderful holidays, a busy schedule. And a few things on our plate which I can describe "as a bit tough to chew on".
But we are healthy, happy and I am also feeling a bit guilty for being away from my blog for such a long time.

There are a few friends still waiting for an email and I have also some gorgeous gifts to share.

One of my resolutions for 2013 is improving my photography skills. During fall and winter I have a hard time taking photos of my cards. Which made me decide to add a light-tent to my shopping list Is anyone having tips?

I made af ew cards last week and this weekend I took some photos. Depending on daylight is a bit tricky in the winter but making cards in the evening and taking pictures during the weekend is a solution for this moment. But still...a lighttent:)

My kick off for 2013 is a card I made for the City Crafters Challenge Blog; you are supposed to add a book paper to your project. Not too difficult and fun to do!

I have something with twine lately; on this card you'll also find a bit of twine

An old book page, a bit of Tilda paper and a few die cuts.
And a teeny tiny sentiment:)
Here is my card:

And this week I 'll work on the next point on my to do list...writing emails, blog visits and a few more posts:)
And if there is anyone who knows a few fab tricks for fitting this all in a busy schedule; just let me know:)
Have a great Sunday.

Liefs Thea

Hi Stella,

Happy New Year to you!

We all need a break sometimes so don't worry at all. I'm very glad to hear that you had wonderful holidays and that you are healthy and happy.

Just wanted to wish you a beautiful new year ahead for you and your family. :)

Schattige kaart, Stel, zoals gewoonlijk!

xx Irene

Happy New Year! Stella. I hope you and your family are all well. It's lovely to see you in Blogland again. Your card is gorgeous! I love everything, so vintage pretty!

Regarding a light tent. I just bought one and then returned it, as it too long to set up for just one or two photo's a week. There were two lights which needed two separate plugs, and I needed a large table to fit everything on, and it had to be pushed near to the electricity supply.....far too much hassle! I have now seen another one, which looks much better. It's much more expensive, but much more compact. It looks like a microwave oven, and the lighting is inside, so just one plug needed. Hope this helps xx

Hi Stella - It's great to see you back and a great way to start with such a beautiful card! I don't have any answers for you, my time management skills are a little rusty! I guess we just do what we have time to do and somehow that always means squeezing in a card or two! Miss you - Cathy xxx

So great to see you back, my friend! And Love your card! Gorgeous colors, papers, and design, and your use of book paper is fabulous!
I know it's not easy fitting blogging in with a busy schedule. Have you tried pre-scheduling any posts? Maybe you could get several lined up at once while you do have a bit of time...
Oh, my. This is beyond beautiful! I happen to love hydrangeas, so I am swooning over yours! The papers are so you, and so very, very pretty.

I'm happy to see you posting on your blog. It's been a while! I know how life gets busy. Yes, I sure know. ;)

Big hugs to you, my dear Stella!
