City Crafter Challenge #235

Today we have a new challenge at the City Crafter Challenge
Charlene is our host and she asks us to create a card or project and using stripes:

Gretha will be joining us for the last time being our Special Guest designer for October.
Gretha thank you so much for your gorgeous cards.
If you want to know how talented she is you must hop over to her blog

I love stripes; and again I made two cards.
One card with a subtle striped pattern
and one with stripes as a focal point:

This is subtle:

And as a focal point:
After taking photos I noticed that my heart is a tiny bit off center. (Arghhhhh!)
But I had to share this card too. My cards do not always turn out as I imagined....

I cut the heart out of my striped paper and added a heart cut from dark blue paper.
Would you please let me know what technique this is? Inlay die cut?

The winner of this weeks' challenge will be offered a GD spot at CCCB
Please hop over to our Blog for more inspiration of our Guest Designer and the team.
I hope you will join us this week!
Thank you for your visit and have a great day!

Beautiful cards ... Yes, this is the inlaid die technique which I love ... Both cards look amazing!

So gorgeous Stella! They both are!

Leuke challenge.
Fijne avond, Ellen

Your kindness & support is so appreciated! You made my day, dear Stella! Wonderfully created card & it's so fun to see how stripes can be used for totally different looks! The second one is striking, but with my love of soft colors my favorite is the gorgeous first one--thanks for all the inspiration!

Hoi Stella,

Liefs, Ira xox

Yes, inlay die cut, I believe... and it looks fabulous. Love the big stripes and love the heart (which looks totally centered to me, by the way). Your card with the small stripes is fabulous, too. Love the layered circles and that tiny wood heart, too!

Stella, your cards just 'pop' !!
