City Crafter #248

Hello!

I am here today to kick off the new challenge at the
This week our theme is "You Matter"

With Valentine's day around the corner I want you to create a card or project to tell someone what they mean to you or to thank them for they have done  for you. For example; you're special,  you mean the world to me or a thank you note.

I have a master degree when it comes to hoarding patterned papers.
So I decided to create a few cards with less stamping
and using a bit of my huge stash:)

Background paper from Stampin"Up.
Sentiment die from Paper Smooches;  cut from darkblue cardstock.
I punched a heart from glittered paper from Amercian Crafts.

My second card is a bit more colorful:

Made with a few papers from Echo Park (Sweet Girl)
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink;
heat embossed with white embossing powder.
And cut with a pierced fishtail die from MFT; for an unknown reason
that sentiment looks a bit bubbly. No idea how that happened; in real it's straight.
Maybe I am a horrible photographer...

You can find more inspiration on our blog.
Our Guest Designer is Maria
She has a beautiful style and a great eye for design.

The winner will be able to join us as a Guest Designer!
I am looking forward to see what you come up with;
 thanks for stopping by!

Great challenge theme and two great cards. I especially love the first one - I can't resist red and white stripes and the black adds a sense of drama.

Both are wonderful! I love the navy paired with the bold stripe, and the floral with chevron is so cheerful. Good for you for using up paper! I've got to do more of that!

Beautiful, Stella! Seriously loving your patterned papers here, mixed with your sweet serene style. The first one looks a bit nautical, which always, always grabs me. And loving the chevron/floral combo of the second one, too!

Liefs, Ira xox

Hi Stella,

Hope you are keeping well.

Just seen your lovely message on my blog. Thank you for thinking of me. I'm still just making my cancer charity cards for now.

I love both of your cards. The papers are so fresh, and I especially love your beautiful floral design.

Sending warm (((hugs)))

tee hee hee - only 999,997 more sheets of PP to use up! Yay for you making cards with PP. They are both wonderful. My graphic loving heart goes gaga for the bold stripes (love that you did the sentiment in navy). But those blooms on the second card are pretty groovy too. Thanks for having me at CCCB.

Hi Stella--I love both your cards! I have a lot of trouble using my printed paper, but you've used it perfectly here. I really love the combination on the second card--modern & beautiful!

The first card is very patriotic, Stella and the last one is so pretty! Great Idea using up your papers, but I find I am still buying them, so I will leave papers to someone! LOL! We all love the new stuff that comes out, buy and hoard it! Have a wonderful weekend. As for doing challenges, I just don't have the time, but thanks for inviting me!

Wat een prachtige creaties weer, Stella!

Such gorgeous cards!! Xx
Wow! I really like both of these...a lot! The boldness really catches the eye. I think the red one is my favorite...which is weird, because I typically do not like the color red.

I guess it's because it is made by YOU!
