Lift challenge #86

Hello!
Geesh this week a post each day so far; not my usual schedule:)But I had to squeeze in a card I made for the current Lift ChallengeWe're supposed to use watercoloring behind a die cut panel. And using only one die The theme is based upon this original:

My idea was to make a get well card in a CAS design and a subtle touch of color.I used a butterfly die:

And added some splatters for an interesting detail. I was afraid the card would look to "plain" without them:

City Crafter #263

Hello!
Today it's my turn to host the new challenge at the
City Crafter Challenge Blog

Our theme for this week is "Sequins".
I think that is not much of a surprise;
my favorite embellishment:)

This is a part of my stash :)

Our Guest Designer is Helen; you can find more of her lovely projects on her blog. The winner will be invited to join us as a Guest Designer.
I bought a stencil recentlyand inspired by Ros (she's amazing with stencils!)I had to give it a try:

The bricks were made with my stencil. The splatters were made using a wooden pin you normally use for appetisers :). I splattered around and I think it turned out quite good.Adding sequins, a few tiny rhinestones and some silver yarn:

Shaker card

Hello!
While we were visiting Martijn in Liverpool I also had the chance to spend a whole day with Ros  in her craftroom (An amazing place!)
And I wish I could hop over on a weekly base..:)Marcel and Martijn were off to Anfield and Ros and I had a wonderful day.Her friend Pat joined us and I must admit I have never laughed so much in one day:)Ros taught me how to make a shaker card. She is a great teacher. I am not the best student; I spent too much time talking and laughing.
On to my card!I also used the smooching technique:

And placed my sentiment almost out of sight.....That happens when you want to talk, laugh and craft at the same time...:

Back home I had to make another shaker card with all that Ros has told and taught:

I love the gold trend!
