It's Tuesday andthere's a new challenge at the City Crafter.Today Kirsty is our host!

or add the word "selfie" to your project.

This week we are having
Marikenas our Guest Designer.
Mariken is a very talented and brilliant papercrafter;
you can see more of her fab creations on her blog.

Speaking of a challenge; this theme kept me on my toes.
I am not into Project Life, not a scrapper and
on top of that no inspiration....
I got some tips from Ros and
after thinking about it I came up with this:

A canvas that would contain a few of my favorite elements.Paired up with another attempt to work with mixed media. I covered a small canvas with Gesso. Created the stars with a stencil and embossing paste.  I cut a deer from cardboard and sponged it with white ink. The canvas was sponged with distress ink. and I added some splatters with gold paint. And the moon as a finishing touch. You c…

Lift challenge #108

It's one of those weekends with an empty agenda and I love it :) Autumn has started here with lovely sunny weather and again we can have dinner in the garden. After posting this card I want to make some more jam from the huge strawberry harvest from our allotment.  But first my card which is based uponthe current Liftchallenge:

We're supposed to use one die, use the die-cut-inlay technique and add colour to only one of the die cuts. I needed a card for a baby girl and used a little star die. I kept the card very CASbut I am pleased with the result:

I added colour by using my Versa Magic inkpad (Pixie Dust) and sponged straight on the star die cut. And added a simple sentiment from Clearly Besotted:

I hope your weekend will be just as good as ours....Thanks for stopping by! Stella

Hello and good morning!
It's my turn to host this weeks'
challenge at theCity Crafter

"Turning a new leaf".
I am asking you to add
a leaf or leaves to your project:

I used a leaf die (Papertrey Ink) to add a
bit of dimension on a wedding anniversary card:

It's a pop of blue paired up withvellum, white and silver polka dots.I couldn't capture the silver dots on my photo;in real it looks much more sparkling:

We are having Agnes as our Special Guest Designer. You can see more projects from

Back to.....

daily life:)
After a wonderful vacation with the most amazing weather I am back to work. Summer is still in full swing and the weatherforecast is predicting tropical temperatures for next week!
I have not been around. I took a break from blogging and spent a lot time time with my family and friends. But also some cycling, reading, baking and enjoying our garden. I tried out a few new-to-me techniques such as watercolouring, mixed media and handlettering. But nothing show-worthy yet:)
Due to the hot summer days my craft room turned into a sort of oven and on top of that my inspiration took a single flight toan unknown destination:)
But I am slowly getting back into a bit normal routine.Back to blogging tomorrow and today back to cardmaking.Nothing is as helpful as a sketch and I used the current sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

I guess I just needed a CAS sketch:

Some stitched dies, one of my favorite sentiment dies and plaid paper.CAS works best for me:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonde…
