A week ago.....

I went to Amersfoort for a creative date/day with Wendy,Marit,Cornelie, Judith,Doraand Bianca. Wendyis very talented with mixed media  and prepared a project for us.
It was a fun day and I learned a LOT.  Besides mixed media we also made  some prints with the Gelli Plate. Marit showed us how to use a Gelli Plate; she made some stunning backgrounds  and I love her style!   A fun technique and I will share some cards soon.
On to my mixed media project.  We did some watercolouring, sketching,  painting with acryllics and splattering:

I decided to work with bright  shades of pink and yellow. Something different as usual:) Back home I finished my card and added a sentiment in bright pink:

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely evening!

Lift Challenge #113

It's weekend and this week  went by in the blink of an eye:) A few visits, baking with a few former  colleagues and now it's already  Saturday afternoon...
I am sharing a card based upon the current Liftchallenge.  We're supposed to stamp and colour an image and let it "pop" over a handdrawn frame.  That means doodling and handwriting. Like this card:

I made card with the "Yay kite" stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

The doodling went quite well but  my handwriting turned out a bit  more irregular using a fineliner. The sentiment is in Dutch  and means: "Thinking of you" I coloured my images with  Derwent coloursoft pencils. Baby Blue for my kite and  Pale Brown for my squirrel. To add a bit of contrast I added a red heart :

Thanks for stopping by; have a great weekend! Stella

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Today I am participating in the

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop
And created a card inspired by this photo:

I used a black background and
paired it up with white.

The sentiment from
"Love lives here"
is heat embossed:

I added some leaves and a few hearts to create  a Valentine card:

Thanks for stopping by!

A new year......

Hello and good morning!
The first day of a brand new year..... I hope you enjoyed your holidays and I wish you all a healthy and magnificent new year!
As much as I love the holdays I also  love to get back to a normal routine.  It's not a new years resolution but  I love to declutter :) I guess I like to organise:  the Christmas tree out, cleaning up and  create litterally more space. Sorting out stuff; donate it or simply give it away.
On to my card!
My first card for 2017 is for one of my sisters. A birthday card with a fresh, bright look:

I LOVE that font (Papertrey Ink) and the touch of a bright shade of yellow. It adds a bit of colour and warmth:

Thanks for stopping by!
